How We Work
Direct relationships, transparent pricing, and a process built around the way growing businesses actually run. Here's exactly what working with us looks like.

This page exists because most accountancy firms make their process opaque on purpose. We don't.
Step 1
The Discovery Call
Fifteen minutes on the phone or video. We ask about your business, your current setup, and what's on your mind. You ask us anything you want to ask. There's no fee and no obligation.

By the end of the call, you'll have a clear answer on whether we're the right fit. So will we. About 70% of discovery calls turn into clients. The other 30% don't, and that's fine. Nobody benefits from a forced match.
Step one starts here.
Step 2
The Proper Meeting
If we're a fit, the next step is a longer meeting. In person at Bicester, Thurrock, on site at your business, or over video. This is where we go deeper.
We look at your last set of accounts, your current bookkeeping, your tax position, and your goals for the next year or two. We come away with a clear picture of what you need and what we can do for you.
Then we put it in writing: a proposal with the services we'd recommend, the price, and exactly what's included. You take it away, think about it, and come back when you're ready.

Step 3
Onboarding
If you say yes, we move into onboarding. This is the bit a lot of accountancy firms do badly.
We write to your current accountant (we handle this; you don't have to). We collect your records, your software access, and the information we need to get started. We set up your accounting software if needed. We register as your agent with HMRC and Companies House.

Most onboardings take two to three weeks. You barely notice them. By the end, we're fully in place and your old accountant is fully out.
Step 4
Working Together
Once we're up and running, here's what working together looks like in practice.
Day-to-day
You email, WhatsApp or call when you have a question. We answer within one working day. There's no help desk, no ticket system, no junior who'll get back to you. You speak to your accountant directly.
Quarterly
We have a check-in. Sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes longer. We look at how the year is going, anything that's changed, and any decisions on the horizon. This is where most of the year-round tax planning gets done.
Pre-year-end
Three months before your year end, we sit down for a planning meeting. This is the most valuable meeting of the year. We look at the figures, identify what tax can still be planned, and act on it before the year closes.
Year-end
After year end, we prepare the accounts and the tax return. You see them both, in plain English. We file them. Job done.

Transparent Pricing
Every client is different, so we don’t force businesses into one-size-fits-all packages.
We’ll discuss what support you need, agree the scope of work upfront, and provide a clear proposal before we start.

Many clients choose to spread the cost through monthly payments, helping them budget for their accountancy support throughout the year.
Every business is different, so we don’t publish set tiers or prices. The fee depends on what you actually need: turnover, complexity, structure, and which services you want covered.
Bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and management accounts are priced separately if you want to add them. The proposal we put in writing makes the full picture clear.
Want to know what your business would cost? Ask on the call.
Software We Use
We’re Xero certified. Xero is excellent for growing businesses, and we set you up with it and handle the setup. If you’re moving from spreadsheets or a different system, we’ll get you across cleanly.
For receipts and expenses, most clients use Hubdoc, Dext, or the built-in receipt capture in their accounting software. Photograph and forget. We do the rest.

How to Switch From Your Current Accountant
Switching accountants is one of those things that sounds harder than it is.
Here's the actual process.
1
You sign our engagement letter.
2
We write to your current accountant requesting your records (this is a standard professional request, not a confrontation).
3
They send us your records, accounts, and tax filings.
4
We register as your agent with HMRC and Companies House.
5
We're up and running.
Most switches take two to three weeks. You write maybe two emails. The rest happens in the background.
Ready to switch? The discovery call is the easiest first step.
